The issues relating performance extremely make users frustrated, but there are some things to you can try before contacting with Apple’s customer support. Here is the guide to fix the poor performance on iOS 11.0, iOS 11.0.1, and iOS 11.0.2 versions if you are in similar trouble with your iPhone/iPad.
Restart Your Device
The first thing you should try is restarting your device. This can be ridiculous but a quick restart could bring you back on track. Simply hold the power button, swipe to turn it off, and then turn it on again.
Install the Latest iOS 11 Update
If your device is running on iOS 11.0 or iOS 11.0.1 and you get some performance issues, try installing the iOS 11.0.2 update and check the result.
Reset Your Network Settings
If you feel the download speeds after installing iOS 11.0.2 is slow, you should reset your device’s network settings.
Head to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will cause your device to forget your Wi-Fi passwords, so make sure you have the password handy before performing the reset. You can also reset your device’s settings in the same menu by tap Reset All Settings. The process will restore the settings to the factory defaults.
Disable Widgets
Widgets can be useful in almost of times but your device’s hardware will have to work more. Sometimes, disabling widgets could help improve iOS 11’s performance on your iPhone/ iPad. From your home screen, swipe to the right and scroll down to bottom of the list and tap on Edit (circular icon)
In the next screen, there is a long list of services and apps. These are the active and inactive widgets. To disable a widget, simply tap on the red circle with the white line and choose Remove.
You can remove as many as you want and check if you notice an improvement to your device’s performance.
Reduce The Animations
If you see some choppy animations, try toning them down. iOS 11 version offers a sense a depth when you tilt your device and open and close your apps. If you reduce this feature, it would improve performance.
To reduce Motion Effects, go to Settings > General > Accessibility and turn Reduce Motion on. This will disable Motion Effects like the bubble effect in the Messages app.
If this does not take effect, you can also reduce transparency and blur effects. To do this, navigate to Accessibility > Increase Contrast and then toggle Reduce Transparency on.
Start Over
If none of those tips work, you should factory reset your phone as it could fix your performance issues. Before resetting your iPhone/iPad to its factory defaults, we recommend you to back your important data via iTunes or Apple’s iCloud.

Once everything is good, head into Settings > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings to start the process.
